How does therapy help?

Once you start to see the pieces and parts in your life and how they go together you’ll feel more in control. Learning how to re-label things changes plenty.  It might be easier to let some things go. You might see some great things you’ve been missing.

Some common goals:

  • Get to know your preferences,
  • Accept yourself, warts and all.
  • Get off of auto-pilot and feel like you run this thing.
  • Listen better. Speak clearly.
  • Know your strengths and build on them.
  • Recognize others might be having a bad day.
  • Define what better looks like and how to get there.

What to expect on your first visit?

You’ll let me know what’ s going on. I’ll have some questions to make sure I understand you.

We’ll talk about what better looks like to you.  We’ll start batting some ideas around to get things moving.

I often have even more questions.

We do all of this with the goal of More good and Less bad.

You can count on me recognizing you as the expert of you.  My skills are in listening and looking for clarity.
